Speaking of wine at Kitchen at Union Square, the restaurant sold out its first-ever Wine Dinner in this summer. Another is planned for early September.
In Richmond, Kitchen on Cary participated in a fundraising event for FeedMore, Central Virginia's largest hunger-relief consortium made up of the Central Virginia Food Bank, Meals on Wheels Serving Central Virginia and the Community Kitchen.
The event raised money for FeedMore's BackPack program, which donates backpacks full of balanced, nutritious food for area children at risk of weekend hunger. Each BackPack offers enough food for children to easily assemble six healthy meals over the weekend when schools are unable to provide breakfasts or lunches.
Kitchen on Cary and Kitchen at Union Square are affiliated with Virginia College's Culinard program and provide externship and employment opportunities to Culinard students and graduates.
